Thanks for stopping by.  As a former DotNetNuke core team member for over two and a half years, I have spent quite a few hours working with the platform and answering questions whenever possible.  After being asked to resign from the core team I decided I didn't want to just walk away from all that.  So if you ever want to drop in and talk about our favorite portal software, I'll leave the light on for you.

I was surprised today when I heard that you had resigned as a core team member. I am a tulsa dnug member and always thought that it was nice to have a (used to be?) home boy as a core person. Do you think that this is a result of the new corporation?

Hi Robert,
Sure, I remember you from the DotNet User Group meetings Tulsa.

Ask anything.. except that!

Just kidding. I can only speculate since I was not given any more reason than "However, after great deliberation on our part... we are unable to identify a suitable role of regular commitment that we can ask you to fill".

I had given them several options of areas that I would take responsibility for, but I believe I was too outspoken to be accepted.

Anyway, I'll still try and do the home town proud.  DotNetNuke isn't the only application using Asp.net right?

Keep in touch.

Hi John,

I wonder why would someone wanna lose out on a knowledgeable guy like you.

Can you help me resolve my issue ? Here's the problem we are facing

We have a client facing website visible to all over the internet. Of late we are facing a issue on IE as well as on firefox that the "www" from the website seems to dissappear all of a sudden as a consequence no one is able to view the site, we have to reset the iis to make the site work again. We are recieving this error more often than not.

We use the snapsis menu for the top and the left side menu. We have our custom created skins and containers, we have . We use windows server 2003 as the OS and dotnetnuke v 4.5

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks,

Gouree

Hi Gouree,

Thanks for the kind words.
That sounds like you may just need to edit the PortalAlias for your site so that it includes the www. in front.
