Hi John,

Today I upgraded my dnn installation from 4.5.5 to 4.6.2. Everything worked fine except one thing: The Logout (Logoff) Button doesn't work anymore. When I click on it I get redirected to the entry page but I'm still logged in as Admin. I switched my skin to the standart dnn skin and the same happened. In my skin I'm using the standart login control:

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="LOGIN" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Login.ascx" %>
<dnn:loginrunat="server"id="dnnLOGIN"CssClass="login_row"/>

When I updated my dnn installation from 4.5.5 to 4.7.0 a few weeks ago I had the same problem and needed to go back to 4.5.5

Do you know what's going wrong here?
thanks,
Patrick

Try deleting any cookies you may have for that domain.

What happens if you navigate to http://yourdomain.com/admin/security/Logoff.aspx directly?

Hi John

When I navigate to the URL: http://gvz.vritec.ch/admin/security/Logoff.aspx then the systems is doing a nice logout.
Quite suprising that the dnnLOGIN webcontrol is not working but the logoff.aspx script does.

Is there something I can do to fix the dnnLOGIN webcontrol?

thanks,
Patrick

it must not be producing the correct link to take you to the logoff.aspx page. When you hover over it where does it point to? You can also look in the html output source of the page to see were it is pointing.

It may not be handling the url correctly, in which case you could put a rule in the SiteUrls.config file to make it go to the correct place. Create it like this.

look for: logoff.aspx
send to: ~/admin/security/Logoff.aspx

Hi John,

Thank you for your support. There is no direct link. The Logout Link is a Javascript Postback Link: __doPostBack('dnn$dnnLOGIN$cmdLogin','').

I will try to use the SiteURLs.config - this is a good idea.
I'm wondering why I'm experiencing this problem and haven't found anyone else having the same problem?

thanks,
Patrick

I have the same problem - and I have experienced it on more than one portal!  The first time, it seemed to go away by itself - this time I don't know how to resolve it.  Did anybody come up with the solution?

I tried http://yourdomain.com/admin/security/Logoff.aspx but still not logoff at all :((

....the only way I could log out is to close the IE browser completly

I ran into the same issue and I ended up adding the following rule in SiteUrls.config:

   .*(\d+)/Logoff.aspx
   ~/admin/security/Logoff.aspx

This fixed the issue for me in a 4.5.3 portal.
