Within my webconfig my DNN friendly url is enabled as above, but I dont find this to be very friendly, as the URL is too long with unnecessary information to the user

Is there something else within the web.config file to make the URL's a little friendlier e.g.
from this:

http://www.mysite.net/FriendlyURLPageName/tabid/154/language/en-GB/Default.aspx

to this

ttp://www.mysite.net/FriendlyURLPageName/Default.aspx

Hi Lynn,

Using HumanFriendly format should remove the tabid, and you can remove the language from the querystring also.
Go to Admin > Languages and uncheck the box for "Enable Language detection in Urls".

Also, if you want completely customized Urls, then you could also use PageBlaster. :)
