| | I have a user making lots of edits on a child portal. When she tries to edit a text/html module (FCKEditor), she clicks Update. It does nothing (does not update) and shows "error on page" in the status bar. Then she clicks cancel and it pops her to the login screen. If she edits the parent portal, this doesn't happen. This wasn't always happening... just recently, but I feel like we had this problem a few months ago and then it just went away and now it is back. Logged in as host, I have not experienced this problem. We are using DNN 4.0.2 on Windows Server 2003, IE 6.0.29. Is this a known issue/problem with child portals? | | | |

| Yes, this is an issue that crops up occasionally. It happens when a module tries to call a page without using the portalid or tabid which causes DotNetNuke to delete the login cookie (since it doesn't know which portal to serve anymore).
Are you using the latest FCKEditor provider? I think this was addressed recently. | | | |

| | You should only need to upgrade the FCKEditor Provider. But I hear that DNN 4.4.1 will be out by end of month and it is a stabilazation of a release that really helps performance so it should be a good one. | | | |

Yes, it should be a straight forward upgrade. Make a backup of your old, unzip the upgrade over it, sync up your web.conf, and you should be good to go. | | | |
