Hi John

Is it possible to incorporate a  3D interactive garden, driveway/patio planning software into my site?

I can run the software on my desktop but I don't know how to incorporate it into my site?

How would I go about it? Do you know of a suitable module available?

I have seen this type of software running on another site (I suspect not a DNN site ).

Lynn

Hi Lynn,

The best answer I can think of is another question.

Does the software offer a way to export to the web?  If you can show me the other site, or point me to online information about the software I may be able to help further.

Hi John

Sorry about the delay, I have not been able to establish if the software on my desktop can be exported. The name of the software I have is: Home Designer Suite 6.0 (but this is quite a big application it covers every aspect of home design which is too much) and Broderbund 3D Home Architect, which is not quite as big but still covers all.

I am open to suggestions for suitable software specific for driveway and patio design and planning, similar to the one I have seen here: http://www.marshalls.co.uk/transform/garden_visualiser/. However, I understand that they have paid a lot of money for this as the software is customised. But even so they have managed to get it online.

Thanks
Lynn

Hi

By the loooks of it this is a custom shockwave application. As far as I know there are no of the rack 3d design applications that work of the web. Apps like these are custom created. There are custom flash/shockwave frameworks alround that make developing these kind of pseudo isometric 3d applications easier to do.

Hi John

Thanks for the reply. It sounds link an expensive solution. I think I'll pass.
