Hi John,
Can you please tell me how to specify a css class for the SOLPART menu's separator, leftseparator, leftseparatoractive and right...? I tried leftseparatorcssclass="..." but it was useless.

Best regards,
Duc

I have to admit, I stopped using the Solpart Menu a long time ago, but I don't think it has a seperator class like that.

You probably have to use the MenuItem classes and specify left and right borders.

You need to also add it to your ascx file -

The challenges with creating the advanced menus is that you required code inline and in css.  I've started to extend the actual references and examples on skincovered.

You can read more about it here - http://www.skincovered.com/ascx-skinning.aspx

But in a nutshell you need to put a reference in the ascx file as well as the CSS file and you need to tell the ascx file which Solpart reference will be defined by which class.

Give that a try - I also think my DesignAway skin has got some references in the ascx file for you to refer to.

It's not just about putting the code into the CSS file.

On Skincovered.com our subscription model provides users with code snippets you just cut and paste into the code and css file and voila - menus like this - http://www.inkandtoneronline.com.au - that is one of my code snippets I put to work.

But I do prefer to use the Snapsis menu and use it in many sites.

Hope this helps.

Thanks John and Nina, I'd like to ask 1 more question : what's the pros/cons of the Solpart menu? I know it takes much size but I can't figure out how does it affect performance in actual fact.

Best regards,
Duc

It loads a JS file which is quite large each time - but I suppose it's cached so it's only the initial load

It is NOT search engine friendy at all

If you do Tableless skins it requires it's own table

Can be difficult to code

If you run some browsers.. eg. an older mac - you have no menu.. it doesn't work at all

Just a couple off the top of my head
