If you leave the editor window open "too long" it times out.

How can I extend the timeout?

What do you mean by "times out"? Is it that you get logged out when you try to post after coming back to it?

No, not logged out, but the message won't post.  I have to "refresh" the editor ... and that results in losing the text of the message (I can usually recover that by judicious use of the "back" button.)

When I click "submit" the editor reloads with an empty message body.

I've modified the login timeout to last a week, so that's not a problem.

Oh. I've never heard of or experienced this. What editor are you using? FTB or FCK?

One thing I have made a habit of is always copying my posts to the clipboard before hitting submit.

Hey, watch your language!

OK, I'll try leaving the FCK editor open while I got lunch and see if I can figure anything out.
