have 1000 users that cannot login or get there passwords back. "There was an error retrieving your password. No password was sent." have just upgraded from 3.1.1 to 4.5.3 manages to reset the host login, but dont want to do 1000 manually

Hi Colin, You should check your MachineValidation and MachineDecryption keys. Look for a copy of your web.config before the upgrade. And copy the keys from there to your new current web.config
