server error/object reference

i got error message if i try to access the website client pc on the network by giving: http://server/DotNetNuke.Default.aspx

Server Error in '/DotNetNuke' Application.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

 another issue from the dotnuke server (member server)

if  i use: http://localhost/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx - i got no problem all are working fine

but if i use http://server/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx - i get the same error message

Hi,

If you can access the website using localhost, then login with the Host account and go to Admin > Site Settings - HTTP Aliases (at the bottom), and add a new alias.

For the new alias put   

   servername/DotNetNuke 

Do not put the http:// part in the alias.
