John,

I am using the text/html module and trying to build a menu using icons; I am trying to stack them vertically one on top of the other. It looks pretty good, but I am unable to remove what looks like an extra page break in-between the graphics. Therefore, it looks a bit odd. :)

Is there a way to remove the pagebreak being added? I am not sure if it's my css that is doing it or the FCK editor or what's going on...css does override the FCK quite often, as I am unable to style the text (say, X-Large font) without using the source...highlight text and change the style and it overrides the output...think this might be related.

Hi John,

I don't know what may be happening. Are you using multiple html module instances?
Can you give me an example of the html? To paste it into the forum first switch to source mode and then wrap it with < code> tags.

Nope, no multiple instances...just the one text/html module that I planned on displaying on all pages once it's working properly.

As for the code, it's only three lines...simple a href link wrapped around the icon...three icons. Each line is prefaced with a 'P' paragraph tag...it's adding nothing extra to the code, though text displays with an extra gap.

In fact, if I type some random characters (herfjhwdjfwjdsfwr) and hit enter to continue on to the next line, the gap is there...twice a regular 'br' break.
I'll take a screenshot and post. :)

edit: How could I change the paragraph tag to a break tag? That's the issue, no?

I went into the FCK editor and tried to change the paragraph tags to breaks in source mode...go to display mode and it changes it right back. CSS issues?

When you are editing you can press shift along with enter to just insert a br tag instead of a paragraph.

You can also change this behaviour by modify the following two lines in fckconfig.js

FCKConfig.EnterMode = 'p' ; // p | div | br
FCKConfig.ShiftEnterMode = 'br' ; // p | div | br

Man, you scare me, John. You are too good. :) The shift+enter worked like a champ!

The FCK editor does this by default, or is it my CSS? I do want to override the CSS occassionaly for a particular text/html module instance, as I have to go in and change the html by hand to style the text...output in the editor always changes from the way it looks when I hit update...I can't increase the size of the font without changing the font size= in the sourse, though I changed it in the editor...pain the arse.

Thanks again, sir.
