Hi Mitch,

Is there a way to replace the "http://mysite.com" with "http://www.mysite.com"?

For whatever reason, our SSL cert is for www.mysite.com. So, if a user enters "mysite.com" into the browser, and then tries to login, they get a warning about a domain mismatch with the certificate.

Also, I think it might be (slighlty) better for SEO to only have one or the other (www or not).

Is there a way to do this? I also have both the paid and the free versions of pageblaster, and login access to the server if those things help.

Thanks,
Ari

P.S.: do you know if it is best to have the SSL cert for "www.mysite.com" or for "mysite.com"? If we had it for "mysite.com" would it give the domain mismatch warning for "www.mysite.com"?

All,

I've found a couple of answers to this, if anyone is interested,

http://seablick.com/blog/tabid/53/articletype/articleview/articleid/44/default.aspx

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/108/threadid/121507/scope/posts/threadpage/1/Default.aspx

I've configured this in IIS. It works well except for one thing: https. If a user tries a url https://mysite.com they should be redirected to https://www.mysite.com because, just like John's site here, the SSL cert is for www.mysite.com. But it does not do this redirect for https, only for http. Too bad. Is there a known solution for this?

Ari

Will an addition in the portalalias table help here?
