How to improve server's response time?

Hi John, I have a question about performance.

The loading speed of my site http://pijaja.com is quite acceptable. But what I'm concerned is that its response time is slow in comparison with other sites. That means, the stages "Looking up domain name --> Connecting to server ---> Waiting for server ---> Transferring data" (in Firefox) take longer than usual. Is there anything I can do to speed it up?

I'm using DNN 4.6.2 on a VPS account of EasyCGI. The domain name server is also on EasyCGI.

Hi Duc,

I would be surprised if it is actually the DNS that is slow, but one way to speed that up is to use a DNS service that has multiple servers that are geographically seperated.

Have you heard of the YSlow plugin for FireFox?  It may be able to give you some other ideas.
