I have a horizontal menu that functions fine in all of my portal skins except for the unreliable appearance of the Admin tab. When jumping from page to page, it will appear on some and not on others. When I Restart the Application, the Admin tab appears on every page, but gradually it begins to disappear from the menus.

What could be causing this? I don't have the menu caching, and the site is set to "light caching." I am running DNN 5.2.2.

That sounds like an old problem in the DNN Core, but I thought they had it fixed.

Is the admin tab part of the same menu instance, or do you have it on it's own instance? When it is gone from the menu, do you still see the new Admin tab on the control panel? If so can you click on it and get the list of pages under admin?

It is part of the same menu instance.

I have actually never had an Admin button on the control panel. I am even running the latest version of DNN...

I highly recommend going to heavy caching, which may or may not help with this problem, but it will help your performance.

Ok, I was able to see the problem. It only happened after I logged out and then logged back in. It came back as soon as I did a hard refresh (Shift+Refresh in FireFox), so I think it may be a local cache thing.

I also switched the module caching to Memory which may help and is definitely better for performance.

I have attached a picture to show you where the Admin and Host links are in the control panel (bottom right on your site).

Let me know if it still has problems after you clear your local browser cache.
