Hey John,
Just noticed that the files in file manager do not display. I tried adding the following exception but it had no affect:

path pattern="(/FileManager/)" excludeFrom="All"

Any suggestions?

The exclude for /admin/ should take care of that. Is the filemanage not in the /admin folder? Are you getting javascript errors?

I thought my exclude was a bit redundant. File Manager is in Admin. How do I know if I am getting javascript errors?

It depends on the browser, but in firefox you can see console errors in the bottom right of the status bar.

I am using firefox and I don't see any errors reporting in the status bar. I recall very clearly seeing errors being reported in the bottom right for various other sites.

Hey John,
Tried to upload a file and got an error. I think the two may be related (not seeing the files and not being able to upload files) Used my remote desktop to reproduce and get the stacktrace:

Hey John,
When I commented out Brettle Upload this resolved the upload error but I still cannot see the folders in the left hand column. I am getting this same problem on all three of my installs DNN 4.9.3

Hey John,
I wanted to ensure that you understand the problem here. I made a screenshot of the file manager page so that you can see what I am talking about.

I realize that the folders displaying is probably a minor functionality issue but it would be nice as otherwise it requires managing files via remote desktop only.
Cheers,
Pat

Hey John,
The issue with my file manager continued for the last nine months. I just decided to use other methods for managing my files.

Today a ran into another issue that I felt was related. I was trying to manage the language resource files and the file manager menu was absent. This reminded me of the issue I was having with the files manager.

So, I looked through the code on a few sites that I knew had access to the files manager and language resource menu (different installs that are not using PB) and I compared the source code to the sites that were having the problem. I noticed that on both pages the same .js file was not being added into the source dnn.controls.dnntree.js

So, I decided to look through the PB config and to edit out a part of the DNNFilter rules. When I did this my menu tree became available on both pages.

I figure that there must be something wrong with the coding of it which causes this .js file to break.

I've attached the rules that I edited out. These are all rules that came with PB (I didn't create them). So I am hoping you can take a quick look at them and see what is wrong with them. I am sure they are valuable when they are in the correct format but in their current format they are breaking the functionality.

BTW - I am using DNN 4.9.5

Thanks,
Pat
