Hey John,

I have a portal system that has dozens of sites which all have links pointing to a particular site that has now changed.

Is there an simple rule that I can add to the default config to change all the links within the portal system?

I tried adding this to the default with no luck:

find - www.olddomainname.com

replace with - www.newdomainname.com

I also tried

find - < a href="http://www.olddomainname.com" >
replace - < a href="http://www.newdomainname.com" >

again no luck.

Thanks,
Pat

Hey John,
I know it is the Holiday time but I figured this would be an easy one for you.

You helped me to rewrite all of the urls within the portal system to enable my to use a content delivery network so I figured this would be a breeze!

I want to change all occurances of a link to a different link.

e.g. www.oldurl.com to www.newurl.com

I didn't think this would be difficult but all of my efforts have resulted in nothing happening.

If you can point me in the right direction here I would appreciate it.

Cheers,
Pat

OK...I get the big moron award!! I was making the changes to the wrong config file. I was changing the default.config in \desktopmodules\snapsis\pageblaster\config

Slap me in the face and call me silly - of course someone probably could have pointed this out from my initial post where I said, "Is there an simple rule that I can add to the default config to change all the links within the portal system?"

I was so used to editing the page and site file from this folder that I forgot about the config file in the root. Once I made the changes to the correct file everything worked perfectly.

John - my apologies for trying to nudge you in the message above - I just felt like I was being ignored while I was panicking and all for nothing.

Still an awesome module and does exactly what it says on the can - sometimes you just have to read the instructions better.

Have an amazing day!
Pat
