Using my development machine, I logged in to the root DNN as host. Went to module definitions, selected add module definition then I selected upload new file. This directed me to the file manager screen. I clicked browse, then added the SnapsisDNN 2.0.3 zip file to the list. Decompress was checked. And selected upload. I was directed back to the add new module screen, as expected. SnapsisDNN was selected in the combo box. I clicked install, and then I was redirected to the file manager page again. I found this bizzare. Is this how it was supposed to work? After reviewing the troubleshooting section, I noticed the the Skins folder was not created in the DesktopModules/SnapsisDNN/ directory. I copied the directory from my download/extract location into the DesktopModules/SnapsisDNN/ directory. Then overwrote my DesktopDefault and EditorModule pages with the ones provided by Snapsis. All seems to be working as intended now. All the database objects were created, all the files except the skins were created by the install, and the database was updated for the portals that are installed on my development platform. Should the SnapsisDNN module show up in the modules list? It doesnt. Is this a bug or not? Any thoughts.

Hi cedricb, Thanks for the detail in your post. It sounds like the module install might have had trouble creating the SnapsisDNN directory in DesktopModules but the redirect back to the File Manager page is something that DotNetNuke does after you upload a module from there so although I agree it is bizzare, it is to be expected. You might have permissions set to tight for module installs, but your workaround of copying that folder manually will work fine. No this module doesen't show up in the ModuleDefs because I made it install as an Admin Module. It's not one that is added to different Tabs like the others.
