I got the "free upgrade" from Snowcovered on 3/25.

I'm just getting around to trying it. Am not able to successfully use.

Following instructions in "Install.txt", here's what I've found:

1. After copying to directory, needed to add permissions for ASPNET user (on an XP machiine) for bin\Snapsis.DNN.Skins.dll and DesktopModules\SnapsisDNN subtree.

2. My "ZIP" did not have the DesktopModules/SnapsisDNN/Skins folder, but it did have a couple of GIF images in DesktopModules/SnapsisDNN (btnMinimize & btnClose)

3. I went back to Snowcovered to get a new upgrade *.zip (? maybe it was fixed); this one did not have the DesktopModules/SnapsisDNN/Skins folder, nor the mysterious *.gifs.

4. I tried "grabbing" the missing files (as mentioned in the "Install.txt") from the release for DesktopModules/SnapsisDNN/Skins - and setting permissions for ASPNET appropriately for all those (well, "Default.css" I just made an empty file).

5. Thru the file manager, I uploaded the skins.

6. In ADMIN > PORTAL SETTINGS I tried setting to the Aquablue skin.

RESULT UP TO THIS POINT:

Message at the top of (it seems) every rendered page:

Could Not Load Skin: ~/Portals/_default/Skins/AquaBlue/Portal.ascx Error: Parser Error: Parser Error: Could not load type 'Snapsis.DNN.AdminMenu'.

Has anyone had success with installing this on a DNN 2.0.3 install? (Mine is not a "pristinely clean" install - it has 2 other modules installed... but....)

Is there an update to the update zip that I could get - or any other help?

Thanks,

Yarko.

Sounds like your install is missing some files Yarko.

They should be in the zip file though.  When you unzipped, did you select the “User Folder Names” option?  If not, then that is probably where the problem is.  You might check the root DNN folder and see if those files are there.
