Installing on a new DNN 2.1.2

I just bought the package and tried installing to the new relsease oaf Dnn 2.1.2 Well first I tryed with the the 2.1.1 and got the same problems. then I installed the patch advertised here and available at snowcovered. finally the Dnn 2.1.2 release came last night, after installation and lots of antissipation, I must sadly conlcude that >I can only get the ClassicDNN and the Schmacked skins to play, all the other skins included in the packet AquaBlue BLueFrameworks OrangeSecure PurpleSky VerticalMenu reply with the following error.. An error has occurred. DotNetNuke.PageLoadException: Method not found: System.Collections.Hashtable DotNetNuke.PortalSettings.get_HostSettings(). ---> System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: System.Collections.Hashtable DotNetNuke.PortalSettings.get_HostSettings(). at Snapsis.DNN.Skins.DesktopPortalFooter.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- I am a newbie with both the CSS program and DNN working with these only for a couple of weeks. I have been trying to find a solution here in this forum but still, feeling more and more helpless.. What can I do, where can i find instructions ??

Don't get discouraged. You just happened to get involved at a time when there was a little hiccup in the new release of DotNetNuke. I had fixed everything for the 2.1.1 version and now they have reverted back to making it work like it did before, so I have updated the Snowcovered site with the correct version that will work on all 2.0 versions of DNN except version 2.1.1 (which is dead now). You can also download just the Snapsis.DNN.Skins.dll from http://snapsis.com/Snapsis.DNN.Skins.zip and copy this dll into your /bin directory to get up and running. Feel free to use these forums for any other questions you may have. John
