I must be really stupid - but my install isnt working.

Hi,

I'm a new user of DotNetNuke and Snapsis skins. My DotNetNuke portal is Version: 3.1.0
Data Provider: SqlDataProvider, .NET Framework: 1.1.4322.2032, ASP.NET Identity: NT38\ebus52,
Host Name: NT38

I went and looked at the demo on this site, and the product looked awesome so I bought it to try.
I followed the instructions and uploaded the Snapsis.CSS.Skins_Install.zip through the Module Definitions. The module loaded correctly and is listed in my module definitions as [Skin Objects].

Then I went to the skins link and uploaded the Classic DNN Skin. The following log shows that it has apparantly been loaded correctly.

Now when I go to apply the skin, I get this error:

Could Not Load Skin: /Portals/_default/Skins/classicdnn/portal.ascx Error: Parser Error: Could not load type 'Snapsis.DNN.Skins.Skin'.


What am I doing wrong?

It doesn't look like you are doing anything wrong.

Please verify the the Snapsis.DNN.Skins.dll is in the \bin directory of your website.

Something may have happened that it didn't actually get written to that directory when it uploaded.

hmm - I dont see it there. I'm going to try and delete the module and then reinstall it. Or should I copy the Snapsis.DNN.Skins.dll into the /bin folder?

I reinstalled the skin through the modules area and it now works!!! Thanks!!!
