Hello, I'm having trouble creating an Admin Skin using the snapsis Nav menu.

I want to have the Host and Admin menus appear as extra tabs on the my tab menu at the top of my pages, but they are rendering as span elements rather then elements.

The menu works fine in my standard skin (see www.bestwool.com/dnn) where it is rendered as a set of tabs, but when I replace the ExcludeTabs="Admin,Host" property with ExcludeTabs="*" or remove it, spans appear within the list elements instead of the required A tags

Due to the way the css works, this means that the tabs then don't render correctly, and of course they don't function as links.

Can anyone suggest a solution please.

Hi Craig,

I don't understand the issue here.  The menu doesn't render any differently on an admin or a regular skin.

The Admin and Host Tabs are not actual pages that you can click on, so maybe that is where the problem is, but the menu should still be rendering the same html with a null anchor tag like this: < a href="#" >

Can you attach the code you are using for your menu so I can get a better picture of what might be happening? Just copy and paste it into a text file and attach it instead of trying to paste code into this forum.

Hi Craig, Hi Mitchel

I have exactly the same issue like Craig, my host en admin tabs are displayed as span without a href:
>span class="DisabledTab"< Admin >/span<  (i changed taggs to display the code)
When I use the included skins HorizontalHover.zip and SilverTabHover.zip the admin and hosts aren't displayed at all.
Should this menu be working on a 04.09.00 installation?

Hello,

I see now that my last post here didn't stick. Thanks for the reply John.

You can log in to my site temporarily at www.bestwool.net/dnn
with login = snapsis and password = snapsis.

Once you login, go to the site menu.

I have found a work around, which is to use a default admin template to get the host and admin URLs, then to create a second static tab menu on my admin template using these that sits seamlessly next to the snapsis menu, as shown below.
