question about NavMenu

Hello I have some questions about NavMenu, I cannot find the answere on the site. (The link to the developers guide doesn't work....) I have used inventua sidemenu and housemenu before, but they don't render the HTML I want. My questions: 1.What kind of HTML does the menu render... Tables / unordered list, etc...? 2. I read on forums.dotnetnuke.com that the menu supports setting a start level, is this correct ? 3. Is there a trial version available? Thanks, Timo Breumelhof

Hi Tim, Thanks, I updated that link to the document. The document is fairly old (still references DNN 2) but the menu hasn't changed. It renders an Unordered List (no tables). It is a DNN implementation of the sliding doors concept outlined by Douglas Bowman here: http://alistapart.com/articles/slidingdoors/ If you like that concept, and you are comfortable with using CSS to make the menu look any way you want, then this menu is for you. It is used on my site, so if you look at the source of my site, you can get an idea of the html it outputs. No, I don't have a trial version.

Oh, you asked about start level. Yes, in each instance you specify the starting and ending level. Here is a good example of several levels with 5 different instances of the menu: http://www.littletonpublicschools.net/forStudents/DriverEducation/tabid/71/Default.aspx At the main nav, they are both on the same level, but with this menu you can even specify which tabs you want to show, so those two instances of the root nav have their own look.
