I have a couple of quick questions on your navmenu product. The little animated demo on the product page shows the menu changing to show a submenu...is that on rollover, or is that after a click? Can it be configured either way?

Here's a summary (and picture) of what I'm after:

Can the CSS NavMenu do that?

Please let me know as quickly as you can, as my client is going to purchase as soon as we get confirmation that your CSS NavMenu will do what we need!

Thanks!

Hi Charlie,
No, this menu does not do "Flyouts". It only changes the available menus after clicking. The animated gif is actually two instances of the Menu. One set to show the top tabs, and the other set to show the the currently active children.

John,

Does it use MouseOver to change, or is it actually a round-trip to the server that paints out the sub-menu? Also, do you know of anything out there that will do what I'm after? I've been looking and can't find it, and I'm beginning to think I'll have to write my own...

Thanks for the quick response!

It does some CSS Hover effects on the anchor tags, but it does not do positioning or display of sub menus until you click (which does cause a round trip).  This is because it does not have javascript.

You might want to look into a Skincovered.com subscription. We have menu snippets in there that will do what you want using the Solpart menu.

I'm also creating a new menu this month that does flyouts for Skincovered subscribers, due to be released on the 15th.
