I am currently using the DNN360 menu because it does most of what I need:

  • Horizontal menu
  • Sub-menu's that are visable when you are on the top-level page of any of its child pages.
  • Visability of the children of other top-level pages when you mouse over the top-level page

These actions are visable at www.AgingSafely.com

I think that I have seen the desired behaviour on one of your skins at www.skincovered.com in the past, but don't see today.

How would I get the behaviour I desire with the Snapsis menu?  I really want to go to a all CSS shtml complient skin and think that the Snapsis menu could be the way to go.

Hi Dave,

The SilverTabHover menu works like that. You can see it in action on the first page of http://demo.snapsis.com

Unfortunately the demo doesn't actually show that since it changes menu style when you select a new page. This makes it difficult to actually see the complete behavior.  I actually installed this setup and it didn't do what I wanted. This is why I am still using the DNN360 menu.

We actually exchanged some mail on this subject in the past and I was left with the understanding that there were some 'timeouts" that needed to be set, but no idea where or how to set them.

Oh, this sounds familiar. I think you wanted it to go back to showing the children of the currently selected top-level after the mouse had left one of the other top levels.

I have had another request for this behaviour and it is at the top of my list. I'll let you know as soon as I make a new template for that.

Hi Dave,

I have attached a new sample skin to this post which does the active tab reset like on your current site.
