John,

I can't get the page icons to display, these are my settings:

When I look at the page source this path is placed in front of the imagename: /dnn455test/Portals/2/Skins/rsg-sl/images/

I think this is incorrect because I placed the icon in the root.

What to do?

Peter

Hi Peter,
I have the Icons set to pull from the skin folder so that you can match them with your skin.
This also allows you to make the skin portable so that it can be sold or moved to another portal in one package.

If you want to specify a different folder for the icons then you'll need to create a template.

Hi John,

I bought the menu just recently and am starting to try and figure it all out.  I'm not very good with CSS, and understanding the menu and configuring it is a little slow for me, but it looks like I can get this without too much effort.

I do have a question regarding page icons.  When I purchased it, I was specifically looking for a menu that would pull and display the page icons for each page, from the one loaded to the page in DNN.  Is there a simple way to set the menu to pull those images, instead of from the skin folder?

Next, I have been working on a solution for creating a "manager" role using Admin tabs and modules and I believe I have figured it out.  At least partially.  So I will make a post soon to the DNN section of your site.

Thanks and God bless,
Clay

Hi Clay & Peter,
I went ahead created a new Property to allow you to specify the IconFolder.

Send me an e-mail and I'll send it to you. cssmenu [@] snapsis.com

Hello John,
Can I use this property in the menu I just purchased yesterday, and if so, how do I use it?
Or has this not been included in an official release yet?

Thanks!

Hi Donald,
It has not made it into an official release yet.
Send me an e-mail and I'll send you the latest DLL.

I'm doing something wrong.

The icon image marker shows up but the icon does not.  I copied the starWhite.png to the \Portals\_default\Skins\ folder.  I also copied it in the \Portals\_default\Skins\IVHDNN-Blue\ (This is the skin I am using)

Under the page settings Icon section: I Choose starWhite.png which is located in \Portals\0\

If I go to a default DNN skin the icon shows up in the menu

If I go to my custom skin with my snapsis menu I get the icon image marker but there is no image. (Looks like I have my image in the wrong area)

Any Ideas?

Regards,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Did you set the IconFolder property?  By default it looks for a folder called images under your skin folder.

When you right-click on the missing image and look at properties, where is it looking for it?

If you use a template you can avoid the extra setting, and include the {Page.IconFile} token in your template file.

John,

You got me going again... thanks

The Images folder is what I added to make this work...

\Portals\_default\Skins\IVHDNN-Blue\images\starWhite.png

Regards,

Chris
