Our DNN portal displays as expected in IE7, FireFox and Safari; however, it looks horrible in IE6.  The classes for IE have been included in our skin.css but are not having any affect in IE6.  Any other suggestions or thoughts?  Thanks in advance.

More time is spent by web developers getting their sites to work marginally with IE6 than on designing the skin in the first place. Many of us use an "iehacks.css" file that has special tweaks for IE6 and IE7, but even that is getting harder if you try to do an xhtml compliant skin.

Are the issues with column widths margins and padding or text size?

Hi Dave,

We were able to resolve the menu display issues by removing all height styling from all classes and elements.  The next problem we are trying to tackle is that an image in the header pager does not display for whatever reason although it does in IE7, FF and Safari.  Oh well.  On to the next forum.  Thanks for your reply.

Regards,

Ken

Hi Ken, sorry I missed this earlier. And thanks for stepping in Dave.

Is the header image a PNG file by chance? I know that IE6 will not display those in a background without some special coding.

Thanks John.  The image is a .jpg image.
