WebForm_PostBackOptions' is undefined - not updating on client machine

Hi there,

We have Pageblaster v 3.2.1 installed on a DNN 4.8.2 instance. I am aware that Pageblaster has some issues posting back on pages that utilise AJAX ( 'WebForm_PostBackOptions' is undefined error) and we have gotten around this by disabling AJAX in the host settings and uncommenting the < path pattern="(Web|Script)Resource" excludeFrom="All" /> line in Snapsis.PlageBlaster.config file.

Whilst this has worked on some of our computers, the problem is that some of our of computers, and most importantly the client is still getting the postback errors on their computers, even though they have cleared the cache on their browser, and we have also cleared the PB cache and DNN cache the error is still persistent.

Would you have any suggestions on what can be done to ensure the client is getting the 'latest' code from the server? This only started happening after we installed Pageblaster.

Hi Ardi,
There really shouldn't be any problem with PageBlaster and WebResource or ScriptResource. I have them running with Ajax enabled on this site and have tested on clean installs of DNN 4.8.2

There must be something else causing the problem, like maybe some other javascript error.
If you can point me to the page that is having trouble I may be able to figure out why.

Hi John, thanks for your reply, Ive PMd you with the details of the website. Further to my first post I have found that my computer is also giving me the same problem, which is quite bizarre. Looking forward to your suggestions.

This would happen if you have enabled comment replacement rule. I had the same issue.

With your issue did the postback problem happen on pages that relied on AJAX postbacks only?

No, this was with regular postback. Did you try opening source for the page and seeing if the function is there and if it is correct javascript?

Also, what I usually do when I need to figure out what happend is to have page render without PB, save the page and then let it render with PB, save it and then do compare ( i use beyond compare app) and then you can see what is missing or messed up.
