Hi Rahul,
You should be able to get back in by commenting out the PageBlaster module line from the web.config

I imagine this error is just a coincidence, but you can check in the Event Viewer to see if there are any associated errors and then try re-enabling PageBlaster in the web.config

John,

Interesting thing is that commenting PageBlaster out doesn't help at all.
I am still getting the same error. Just to make sure, I restored back to my before PB installation state (DB and source code) and everything worked. Now, I installed PB again and the same thing happened. Even, after commenting PB in web.config, I am getting same "Request timed out" error ?????

That is very strange. If it is commented out in web.config, then it shouldn't be used at all. What happens if you remove the PageBlaster DLLs from the /bin folder?

I tried all the combinations. When both Snapsis.HttpModules.PageBlaster.dll and Snapsis.DNN.PageBlaster.dll are available in bin directory then I get the "Request timed out" error. When only Snapsis.HttpModules.PageBlaster.dll is available then website opens but of course with an error on the page where PageBlaster module is used that DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Could not load type 'Snapsis.DNN.PageBlaster.PageBlasterControl'. Does not matter whether Pageblaster is commented in web.config, when both of the dlls are available in bin directory I get "Request timed out error".

Ok, something must be happening with the PageBlaster DNN Module to make it timeout.

If you go to DesktopModules/Snapsis/PageBlaster/Config/PageRules there should be a file or files that are the settings for individual module instances that you have on a page. If you rename these files and then re-enable PageBlaster then it should work without timing out.

If you want to attach any of those files in a zip package, then I may be able to spot what is making the page timeout.

Hi John,

I renamed all the files as suggested but enabling or disabling PageBlaster did not change the resulted behaviour :(

Attached you will find those files.

Thanks.

I don't see anything that could be causing a problem in those config file, unless maybe there is a infinite redirect from one of the virtual paths.

I checked out your site and it looks like you have PageBlaster 2.2.4 running. Did you go back to an older DLL? That may be the problem if it is trying to work with the newer DNN Module.

If you download the latest version 3.3.2 it should help. If you would like me to help directly with your install you can contact me through private message.

John,

I have sent you a private message and waiting for your response.
In the meantime, I did a fresh upgrade DNN 4.5.5 => DNN 4.6.2 => DNN 4.8.4
and finally at 4.8.4 getting the same problem of Request timed out.

Any clues?

Hi Rahul,
I replied to your private message on the 11th, I have copied it here:

You should have received an e-mail from Snapsis.com after your purchase from Snowcovered.
You can login here using your e-mail address from snowcovered as the username, and the first eight characters of your invoice ID as the password.
After logging in go to My Orders and click on the Order Details for your order.
From there you can download the latest version and you will also find your license key which is needed to make virtual-paths work.

I'll probably need to be able to access the site were you are having the timeouts since that does not happen in my test environment.
