I've installed the Page Blaster yesterday for the first time. After I've installed it, I could see some of my pages were loading fast.

I wanted to further improve the performance, so I commented out the mergejs and mergecss files in the config file today. I restarted the application in DNN->HOST. What a trajedy! From that time onwards, the page came up with nothing.

I had to call the hosting support to recycle the app pool. After a while, it started working again.

Here is the major problem that I've noticed from today morning. The page is not loading anymore faster. I think it is taking longer time than before I had the Page Blaster. The login page is extremely slow after a login try.

I thought I could delete all the cached files and start the caching. I selected DELETE CACHE from the ADMIN->PAGE BLASTER menu. Yesterday when I tested it, it was able to delete the cache. Today, it takes like 3 to 4 minutes and then receive an error and page goes back to web.config. Sometimes deleting the chache works and sometimes not.

I have finally decided to uninstall the page blaster. The uninstall of the module ended up redirecting the site to web.config. I have found out that the uninstall did not remove the links to pageblaster dlls in the web.config.

Now being back to the site without the page blaster, I'm finding the site is loading not that bad.

I'm little concerned now. What is happening with the Page Blaster?

You may have another module that is conflicting with PageBlaster. Are there any other modules that you have had to add to the httpModules section of web.config?

Unfortunately there isn't any way for a module to remove things from the web.config when it gets un-installed, so that has to be done manually.

You will always find that upon initial restart of a site that it'll be a little faster.
I'd be happy to take a look at your setup directly. If you would like me to check it out, you can send me FTP info using the private message feature.
