Missing Admin>PageBlaster

Hi john, I have installed the community Edition of Snapsis PageBlaster onto a Dnn v. 4.8.2. Once installed, I restarted the application. Upon doing so, I cannot find a PageBlaster selection within the Admin dropdown list in which to submit the license key. Any ideas? Roger

I have had this also!! I already had created a page callded PageBlaster and therefore it was not show in the admin section. Have you done something similar??

I'm not sure why this would happen. Did you get any errors in the install feedback? How about in the Admin > Event Viewer? You can try installing it again (no need to uninstall) and it may run the SQL to put that menu item in place this time. It shouldn't matter if you already have another page named PageBlaster.

I have reinstalled my website lately so in my case this is not an issue anymore. I have looked in the eventviewer for any error messages but couldn't find any which were related to pageblaster. Thanks anyway

Hi John, I have reinstalled with the same result. The installing had no errors. After restarting the application, I did have a General Exception within the event viewer of the likes: *"Could not load file or assembly 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Html' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."* I do not know if it is related or not... do you wish me to email you the full message? Roger

Hi Roger, What version of DNN and PageBlaster are you using? Did you already have a previous version of PageBlaster installed? I don't think the other error is related.

I am using DNN v. 4.8.2 with Pageblaster v. 3.3.2 community edition. This is the first time this module was installed on this website. Even though the module cannot be located within the Admin selection and a license key not inserted as a result, is the module still functioning as it should? Roger

Yes, it should be working correctly. A key is not mandatory for the community edition. Looks like I need to go back and check the install of the latest release on that version of DNN.

John, This is funny, just found the module. It was just floating freely without a parent page, while not displaying on any of my menus. I have secured it on my main menu outside of the Admin Dropdown. Any suggestions on how to secure it within the Admin selction? Roger

First run the uninstall script located in Snapsis/PageBlaster/Uninstall.SqlDataProvider in the Host>SQL window. Then, in the Snapsis/PageBlaster/Config/SQL folder is a PageBlaster.03.00.00.sql file that you can run. After running the install script it should add the PageBlaster tab to the Admin menu.
