Hi

Just installed PB 3.3.1 on DNN 4.8.4 withou any errors. After installation I enabled the Static File handler (SFH) and changed the settings inside the IIS.
The site seem just OK, no missing CSS or JS. All seems to be working.

I have these test before and after installation:
 OriginalInstalledSFH
XHTML Validator71 errors, 30 warnings72 errors, 30 warnings72 errors, 30 warnings
httpZIP test size236592079120791
CacheRight test size805148257017576

The main reasson for my to buy this product is the XHTML aspect. I use non xhtml skins and containers. Is this possible ? If yes, how ?

Another question is how to do SEO optimization ?

Hi Ulrik,

You will have to implement Replacement Rules to clean up any XHTML validation errors.

You can find out more about that here:

Hi and thank you for your quick answer !

But I have tried the XHTML RULES part of the topic, without any good result. The page was missed up afterwards. Then I deleted the inserted rules og cleared the cache. Now it looks good again.

I assume the rules should be inserted as "New Rule" under the Portal Rules part ?

Since there are so many things that can get injected from so many sources in a DNN portal filtering content for XHTML can be very difficult. The included rules can be used as a guideline and are a good place to start, but you need to pick your "battles".

I only make my home page validate as XHTML strict.

I recommend implementing them on one page at a time. Work on your most important page, then as you gain experience you may want to work on other pages.

Hi again

Well the main page is the one I want in XHTML.

How do you change the doctype information?
