Hi, over the weekend I implemented page blaster on my website www.wisweddingplanner.com. Then I tested it to see if it was compressed by going to www.pipeboost.com. It said that it was compressed, I followed all of the steps correctly. Then I went to check over my website to see if everything was still functional. I went to my "Local Business" tab which has a "Business Directory" module from ibuyspysolutions.com. The folders on the left column along with the 3 rows of colums the folder image wouldn't appear, and was a square with a red X. I cleared my cookies, and cache and went to the page again and the folder images still wouldn't appear. I removed the module immediately, and removed the line of code in my web.config file to change it back to uncompressed. I was just wondering why this happened? Is there anything I can do to fix this, I would really like to implement this module! Thanks! Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for trying out PageBlaster. If you have images that are dynamically generated with ASP.Net. then the page that creates them will have to be excluded in the Snapsis.PageBlaster.config file.
I checked out your site and could not find the page that may be generating the images, but if you may know which one it is, or maybe you can ask the devloper of that module.

One thing that may be happening (although this would be rare) is that your normal images are being processed by ASP.net because they are mapped that way in IIS for your website.

Thank you for your reply. Here is the page I was talking about: http://www.wisweddingplanner.com/Default.aspx?TabId=53. All of the folder images appear with a red x when installed. How do I exclude this page in the Snapsis.PageBlaster.config so it will work on the rest of my website? Thanks!

Put an excludePath in the config file for that Tab:

<pathpattern="TabID=53"excludeFrom="Compression"/>

John-

I added that line of code to the synapsis config file. However, it didn't work. The red x's still appear, like it is not finding the image. I am now running 4.3.5. I waited to re-install this module until I upgraded (which was tonite). Do you know why this is still happening?

Thanks!
Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,
It must be something on the server-side that the repository module is using to generate the images.
That is the core repository module correct?
If so, I'll look at the source-code to see how it is generating the images.

It isn't the Repository module, it is called "business directory" from www.ibuyspysolutions.com. But now, I have an even bigger problem. I just logged into my website to add a new page and my site is acting all crazy, it keeps on looping / reloading and is really wierd. I tried deleting the modules config file and taking the lit out of my web config file and that didn't work. Could you please help me out. This is not good. Thanks!
