Hello John,

I would like to know how you achieved to make work together HrefExchanger and PageBlaster. I had HrefExchanger working fine, but once I added PageBlaster to see how it works, the hrefexchanger design of the url disappeared and there was only the www.mysite.com/default.aspx?tabid=XX

As I can see you managed on your site to make it work :-)

Thanks a lot for any feedback.

Regards,
Fabian

Hi Fabian,
You can make it work by making sure that PageBlaster is the first httpModule in the list in your web.config

Actually, my site is not using HrefExchanger. I am doing that with the built in Friendly Urls.

PageBlaster Pro is almost ready though, and it has the ability to assign a Virtual Path to your pages which will also allow you to have any virtual folders you want, so the Friendly Url is completly free form.

Hi John,

thanks a lot for your feedback - this solved it :-)

you say that you do what does hrefexchanger with the built in Friendly urls - I would be very interested to know how you do so ! Do you simply change parameters, or did you change the core's code?

Thanks for your kind help!

Regards,
Fabian

Cool. I just create a rule that maps a page to a specific Url. This is not as good as HrefExchanger though, because that module also changes the links that are embedded in the page to match. The core FriendlyUrls provider doesn't do that.

Here is a rule from my SiteUrls.config:

      <RewriterRule>

<LookFor>.*PageBlaster.aspx<LookFor>

     <SendTo>~/Default.aspx?tabid=589&ProductID=9<SendTo>
  <RewriterRule>
