John,

It might be worthwhile to create a document that outlines what you get with 2.0 vs the free module 1.4.1 you had for free.  That way folks can see the benefits of upgrading.  I'm kinda confused about what this does.

Thanx

Frank

Hi Frank,
That is a great idea. Thanks for the feedback.

The big difference between the free PageBlaster 1.4.1 and PageBlaster 2.0 for DNN is that if you upgrade you will be able to configure each page seperately for cache time, exclusion, etc. and the the free version doesn't support the Replacements.

One other item made possible in PageBlaster 2.0 for DNN is the ability to cache by Role, and cache by User if desired.

Just thought of another one. The Virtual Path feature for creating your own Urls for pages is also new in the upgrade to 2.0

Cool beans!!! That's pretty cool... I assume this http module will work on non-dnn sites correct? Also, I saw your configuration manual and the screenshots, is this something that you can configure via the website, or is this a thick client you have to run on the webserver? The reason I ask is because I use a hosting company and would not be able to run this on their server.

Thanx

Yes, the Http Module itself will work on non-dnn sites and I have designed it in a way that other replacement filters and user providers can be pluged in using the provider model.

This latest release is a Module for DNN that allows you to configure each page seperately. If you are wanting to use it on a site other than DNN, then it would be pretty easy. All that would need to happen is to load the PageBlasterControl and PageBlasterConfiguration user controls dynamically into your pages.

If you don't mind I'm going to take that as a compliment that you thought the images in the Doc were from a windows app, and not a web app.
I'll set up an example page on a demo site so that you can get a hands on demo.

I also plan on releasing a version specifically for other sites in the future.
