Hello,

I have the following problem.
i have installed the pageblaster 2.0 on dnn 4.4.0 (this time a complete and clear install) it works as expected, but...

when i use the "comment" filter on a site-wide base it filters like it should, but when i go to portal settings and edit some of the fields i get an error when i try to "update" the page. The message is object expected. (translated from dutch) I have also on the testsite. Clicking on a link with java behind it gives an error as soon as i press it.

i already tried to change the sequence in the web.config file. (first URL rewrite, then pageblaster and vice versa) it didn't make a difference...

I am using IE7 and i see the error, with firefox i don't see the error, but then just nothing is happening... (i tested it on two separate lines and pc's)

javascript:WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions(new WebForm_PostBackOptions("dnn:ctr353:SiteSettings:cmdUpdate", "", true, "", "", false, true))

funny: the vendors page add new vendor link doesn't work when you click on it (it gives the error) but the delete vendor link does show the popup. both are jacascript: maybe that helps (a little?)

Hi Arpat,
The comment replacement rule is actually taking the Javascript out of the page too since that is made with an Html comment. It doesn't affect all of the javascript, just the ones that have html comments in them.
I need to work on the Regex, but you can get around this now by not using that rule on any page where you have to do post-backs.

Hello John,

when i enable the snapsis line in the httpmodules the following software is not working properly anymore:

NukeTransfer File Transfer 2.50 PA  by Gulf Technology
Open-DocumentLibrary v1.0 PA by Xepient Solutions (error: BADRESPONSE)
Document Control 1.1 PA (New) by NukeMeUp (error: nmuWrapper is no object)

I purchased a lot of other tools (like xmod etc) and i will inform you if i find more problems.

Thanks for your feedback Arpat. On any download/upload page, or a page that should remain dynamic (like a shopping cart) you should put in an excludePath with the pattern of the url, and and set the excludeFrom attribute to "Compression" or "ConpressionAndCaching"

Please do post how you resolve any conflicts with other modules for others to share, and don't hesitate to ask for the best way to resolve a specific conflict.

Thanks again.

For what it's worth: It's not only pageblaster related. I found more software with similar problems due to the default compression from DNN itself. (i even found weblogs about dnn modules with problems related to compression) Currently the only way to use my software with DNN 4.4.0 is to disable the pageblaster and the DNN compression. Otherwise it is not possible to effectively use the dnn 4.4.0 websites and a lot of modules. Currently i am more thinking about the idea that it is a DNN problem and not a pageblaster/compression problem. (the module only shows one of the flaws in the dnn website.) I hope they bring out a patch soon.
