Hi,

Today I installled PageBlaster 2.0 on our webserver. The installation went fine.
I copied the Snapsis.PageBlaster.config file in the same folder that web.config is and added the new entry into web.config.

I expected that PageBlaster Toolbar shows up somewhere in the Admin or Host Menu, but I'm not able to find the Configuration-Toolbar anywhere even I was looking around everywhere. What is going wrong here? Has the Configuration-Toolbar his own URL to be accessed?

Note: When I run the Speedreport at www.websiteoptimization.com I see that http-Compression is working now.

Hi,

This problem is solved. I realized that I need to add it as a Modul.

The compression is working fine. Also the FCKEditor is working fine when I add:
in the config File.

With the DotNetNuke build in http-Compression I had problems with Pdf-File-Download (linkclick.aspx). With this one Pageblaster it workes fine.

Questions:
- when I use the Comment replacement the javascript function __doPostBack gets removed, what do I need to do?
- Do I need to disable caching in DotNetNuke Settings?

Thank you
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Glad you figured it out. I need to explain about the module better in the Docs.

Yes, that function has an Html comment around it, so I need to come up with a more complex Regex that will ignore comments that are wrapping Javascript.
For now, you may could just use that rule on pages that do not need post back.

What did you add for FCK to work? It seems to have been filtered out? I use FCK as well.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE JOHN, DO A FAQ. I have been wrestling with things all afternoon, from Repository not working to a rougue HTML tag to unable to display the module ("an error has occurred"). It's silly that there isnt one place to answer all these issues.
