Hi John

On my Contact Page I'd like to do the following replacement:
Looking for: class="header_row">Kontakt
Replacing with: class="header_row_active">Kontakt

I inserted the PageBlaster Modul on my contact page and added a new Page Rule.
I noted that nothing happens (Browser Refresh, Applicaton restart) even when I create other rules.
However when I add this rule as a Portal Rule everything is working fine.
Is there a problem with Pages Rules? I'm using PageBlaster 2.0 for DNN.

Thanks
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

It should work fine on pages.  I have page rules on several pages of this site.

Do you have something in the Exclude field for that module instance?

Hi John

There is nothing defined in the  Explude-Path at Page-Setup for that Module.
Exclude Path: empty field
Exclude From: None

I deleted the PageBlaster Modul and tried it again with simple replacements but it isn't working on the Page level.

The content of the Snapsis.PageBlaster.config looks like:

        page-param="tabid"
        cached-roles=""
        cached-users=""
        cache-folder="/DesktopModules/Snapsis/PageBlaster/Cache"
        config-folder="/DesktopModules/Snapsis/PageBlaster/Config"
        memory-cache-interval="00:04:00:00"
        memory-size-limit="25"
        disk-cache-interval="01:00:00:00"
        disk-size-limit="100"
        compression-algorithm="gzip"
        compression-level="high">

                type="Snapsis.DNN.PageBlaster.DNNFilterProvider, Snapsis.DNN.PageBlaster" />
                type="Snapsis.DNN.PageBlaster.DNNUserProvider, Snapsis.DNN.PageBlaster" />

That is very strange. Maybe caching is involved. Try doing a CTRL+Refresh in IE or a SHIFT+Refresh in FF.

Also look in the DesktopModules/Snapsis/PageBlaster/Config/PageRules folder to make sure you have a config file for that module there.

The file will be identified with the ModuleID in the name which you can see in the Url when you are editing that module.

Hi John

I checked the config-File at \DesktopModules\Snapsis\PageBlaster\Config\PageRules\PageBlaster.PageRules󞟨].config

The PageBlaster Modul-id matches with the config-File name. I added a few more simple word-replacement rules and none of them is working on the page level. I also restarte the application and did the page refresh in IE and FF.

Is there something else I can try to make it work?
Thanks
Patrick

Below I added the PageBlaster.PageRules󞟨].config:

            cached-roles=""
            cached-users=""
            memory-cache-interval="00:04:00:00"
            disk-cache-interval="01:00:00:00"
            virtual-path="" >

                type="Snapsis.DNN.PageBlaster.DNNFilterProvider, Snapsis.DNN.PageBlaster">

teststrassestreet

            disk-cache-interval="01:00:00:00"
            virtual-path="" >

                type="Snapsis.DNN.PageBlaster.DNNFilterProvider, Snapsis.DNN.PageBlaster">

All I can think of is that the page is somehow being excluded from replacements.

If the site is available, I would be glad to login and take a look.

Just reply to the notification e-mail of this post directly if you would like me to do that.

Hi John

Thanks a lot for your great service and the PageBlaster 2.1.2 Upgrade. Upgrading to Snapsis PageBlaster 2.1.2 for DotNetNuke solved the problem. It's working perfectly now!

Excellent, I'll have to remember that. I didn't even know I had that bug in version 1.5 :)
