Currently I use PageBlaster only for blocking certain user agents but there is something I do not understand. What does the page-param="tabid" do? Does this mean that only URLs with tabid are handled by PageBlaster? Some feedreaders connect to an 'rss.aspx' without tabid in the URL. Do I understand correct that PageBlaster skips this? What happens if I delete 'tabid' and leave it empty...?

The page-param attribute tells PageBlaster what querystring variable to use to determine new Pages. It is tabid for DotNetNuke, but it could be set to some other variable for other ASP.Net systems.

ExcludePaths are used for bypassing processing, and there is a default one that excludes all requests unless there is a tabid.

UserAgent and IP Blocking do not use the ExcludePaths since they are blocking more than just a url, so if that is all you want to use it for, then you could set an ExcludePath with pattern=".*"
