Hi,

I would like to get an exemple of how I need to write the information in the cached-languages=""

I need to setup English US and French France, I couldn't find any indication of how to write those parameters in.

Also, if I left it blank and I have a multilanguage setting on my website (using Appolo modules), should it still deliver pages?

Thank you

Ian

Yes, if you leave it blank it will cache still deliver pages, but they will not be unique to the browsers preferred language.
This setting allows you to minimize the number of pages that get cached.

cached-languages:
A semi-colon separated list of languages that you want to cache (can use regular-expressions)
limiting the languages that you cache will make the number of cached pages lower and increase performance
especially on a low traffic site that has visits from multiple countries
leave this attribute blank if you are not serving pages differently based on language
if this attribute is not blank and the users accepted language does not match any of the cached languages
then the first cached language in the list will be used.

John,

Does this mean that for sites with English and French, it is necessary to add this parameter: cached-languages="en-US;fr-FR"  ??
With the information you provided, I understand that leaving it blanc will have the same effect than cached-languages="en-US;fr-FR"
(I assume there is only 2 languages).

If you only use English and French, then you would want to do this setting cached-languages="en-US;fr-FR"

If it is set like that and a user comes to your site with a different preffered language in their browser settings then they will get the cached English version.

If it is left blank, then PageBlaster will not cache seperately by the language of the visiting browser.

Ok, I do not understand your last sentence:

"If it is left blank, then PageBlaster will not cache seperately by the language of the visiting browser."

Does it mean that if it is left blank, PageBlaster will cache only one language ???

Yes, if it is blank it will not use the language as part of the key, so if you have more than one language then you need to define them.
