cannot remove compression in web.config

Hello there, I just ordered, (or downloaded) the free version of page pageblaster. The install was no problem however in our web.config is no line with add name= 'compression'. is this normal or is there something that i have missed. Dnn Version = 4.5.1 and en 4.4.0 running on different servers. thanks so far. Yoda

If you don't have the core compression module in your web.config that is ok. It is not needed with PageBlaster.

Thanks John for the quick repply. means that if the line is not present in the web.config, that the performance settings they are set in the Host settings, are not working? greetings yoda

Yes, If you are using PageBlaster then you should disable core compression which also means that the Settings for Compression and Whitespace in Host > Host Settings no longer have any effect.
