I just installed your free PageBlaster and my site became Snappier.  I could login and logout for a while, then I could no longer login.  Turning off PageBlaster fixed the issue.  I loaded a clone of the site to localhost with PageBlaster enabled for some work that needed to be tested locally and currently I can still log in & out.  I  do use a Private login page rather than DNN's having one login-URL per page craziness.  I'll re-enable PageBlaster later and see if I can get more info.

Update: PageBlaster worked OK on the clone of my site that I had just made so I did considerable work on the clone and could log in and out OK. I went back to the production site and re-enabled PageBlaster and it seems to be working OK now.  Maybe a caching issue while getting started.

I have a demo to do next week and my old laptop (2002 Compaq 800 MHz) is really slow if I don't have WiFi access and have to demo our site (www.AgingSafely.com) with DNN and SQL Server running from the laptop.  PageBaster and a recent post on speeding up DNN have made it so I don't have to go out and buy a laptop this weekend, it also really zip'ed up the production site as well.

Yes, I have heard of intermittent problems with this.  What browser are you using?

The other discussion about this is in this thread:

I'm going to attach a newer DLL to this post. Please try it in the /bin folder and see if it helps with this problem.

I am using IE7 but the problem seems to have quit for the weekend now

The other post referenced "Control Refresh"   How does one do that?

Hold down the CTRL key and Click on the refresh button, or do CTRL+F5 key combination for IE.

In FireFox it is SHIFT + Refresh

I just had occasion to check my production site with the new dll that you supplied.  I no longer can login with FireFox but can with IE7.  I don't really know if I could login with FireFox with the old dll, but I know that i could prior to PageBlaster.

Not a rush for me to fix, but what do you want to know or want me to try.

BTW. I made my FireFox 2.0.0.6 go away for the moment by disabling updates.

My FireFox login issues turned out to be A check-box on the FireFox Web Developers tool-bar.  If referrals is turned off you can't do post-backs.

It looks as if PageBlaster is working on for logging in.  Sorry for the confusion.  I had been troubleshooting a customer problem accessing my site and had one-by-one disabled Javascript, Cookies, Referrals, etc to see the effects.

It would really be nice if DNN include a module / tool that could check for all of the browser features that DNN requires. In my quick check I didn't notice that logins don't work without referrals enabled and left the box checked.  I did find a website with a test for cookies and javascript, but have never seen a test for someof the more troublesome features that DNN requires. Printing requires pop-ups to be unblocked etc.

I was at least partially wrong in the last post.  With Firefox I can loggin (I think) but now I can't loggout.

With IE I can do either. This was using the dll that you wanted me to try.  I have switched from IE 7 to using FireFox as my default brower for most of my browser, not just skin and other CSS & html work

What do you suggest about the login / logout issues?

Logout is probably not related to PageBlaster.
In DNN, if you login to more than one portal, or your portal is in a virtual folder then you may have trouble logging out.
To force the logout you can delete the cookie.

I am often logged into several portals at the same time, usually as a superuser, and haven't had any problems - Just lucky I suppose.

I did delete the 6 domain cookies and could logout, so PB isn't the problem.
