Sorry John, but I haven't seen the new DLL and was hoping to get it soon. What was your time frame?

For now I'm deleteing the cache everyday to keep the file numbers down.

John, 24 hours later and I'm happy to report no spikes in CPU usage lasting more than 2 minutes. Looks like I'm approaching the edge of this machines capacity but I have breathing room now with the expiration check turned off. Thank you.

Excellent. You're the first to report this issue, but I can see how opening up all those files on a restart would put a load on the CPU so I'm still looking at spawning another thread and slowing it down.

If the slowdown was configurable then it could be tweaked to match server performance. I take it using any type of DB solution would be sub-optimal.

This question is just part of my maintenance cycle but have you made these changes yet?

Yes, but I am in the middle of a larger enhancement, so it's not ready for release. I hope to get the new release out in the next two weeks.
