PageBlaster not opening

I am new to PageBlaster and have just successfully created some virtual paths and page rules to create URL rewrites for three of my pages. However, for those pages I have done this for, if I try to open PageBlaster, nothing happens. There is no problem opening it if no virtual path or page rule has been setup. Please help.

Hi, thanks for purchasing. What do you mean by "If I try to open PageBlaster"? Is the page not displaying, or is the module not allowing you to configure the settings anymore?

Being new to the programme, with one page, I only set up a Virtual Path. So I now want to add a replacement rule to get the URL rewrite. However, if I go to the PageBlaster module on the page and choose Edit - nothing happens. So whether is the PageBlaster edit window not opening or me not being allowed to configure the settings, I don't know.

Ok, are you getting a Javascript error on the page? it may be surpressed but still visible in the bottom status bar.

It just says "done" in the status bar - no evidence of a javascript error

That is strange, can you give me more details about your virtual path, or better yet, let me see it in action?

I was away for a week and am now back to this issue. I see the problem and it is down to my replacement rules. We have a temporary site up while finishing off our website. It is http://www.esdmdotnetnuke.no-ip.com but this will become www/esdm.co.uk. I have one page, http://www.esdmdotnetnuke.no-ip.com/Software/CMSbrConservation/Software/CMS7/tabid/106/Default.aspx that I have set a virtual path to /cms/cms7.asp. Hence http://www.esdmdotnetnuke.no-ip.com/cms/cms7.asp works if typed into the browser. However, I would like to set the output to this friendly URL as well. So I set up a page rule to search for /Software/CMSbrConservation/Software/CMS7/tabid/106/Default.aspx and replace it with /cms/cms7.asp and once I've done this, if I try to edit PageBlaster instead of opening the module, I am redirected to http://www.esdmdotnetnuke.no-ip.com/cms/cms7.asp. Obviously, not what I wanted! Advice on the best way to do this would be gratefully accepted.

Now I see if in the page (or portal rule) instead of searching for "/Software/CMSbrConservation/Software/CMS7/tabid/106/Default.aspx" and replacing it with "/cms/cms7.asp" I search for "Software/CMSbrConservation/Software/CMS7/tabid/106/Default.aspx" and replace it with "cms/cms7.asp", I can now open pageblaster instead of being redirected to the page.

Excellent, I'm glad you figured it out. I also have an exclusion rule that stops PageBlaster from doing replacements if "ctl=edit" is in the Url.
