Problem with Login

Hi John, I'm running the free Page Blaster and the purchased Page Blaster. I notice that the first time I load the home page of the site (usually when I come in to work in the AM), the Login hyperlink doesn't work. If I refresh the page, still doesn't. But if I do a Ctrl+F5 refresh, the login hyperlink control will work for the rest of the day. Is this a known issue with Page Blaster? I've seen another couple posts related to it in the forum here. In both cases you provided an updated version of a DLL. This is version 2.3.0.0 of Snapsis.HttpModules.PageBlaster.dll that goes in the Bin folder. I'm using version 2.1.1.0. But I wanted to confirm whether replacing this DLL in the bin folder is the solution when I am using both versions of the Page Blaster? Can you please advise?

Hi, you can't really have both versions at once, but I understand what you mean. The paid version adds on the ability to set specific page options using a DNN module, but they both use the same "engine". You actually have a newer one ( version 2.3) than the curent release ( version 2.2.4 ) because of that other problem you were having with cache cleanup. I don't remember this problem with the login hyperlink, except for a time when it was intermittent with FireFox only. Do you get an error (most likely javascript) when this happens? Does it appera to post back and just nothing happens? It may be an issue where a browser with javascript disabled has cached the page, if you get it again, capture the page output of the before and after clearing the cache and we can compare them.

I've attached the page source for the before and after. Before, nothing happens when I click on the Login link. After I've refreshed with Ctrl+F5, Login works as expected. The differences are that the page source after the refresh has lines 34-35, 38-58, and 61. Can you please help me figure out is this is a PB issue, or something else? Thanks again, Ari

It does look like you are getting a cached page that was from a Browser that did not have javascript enabled. I have added javascript detection as part of the cache key in this new DLL. I have attached it to this post. Please give it a try to see if it helps.
