After installing PB there are problems when logged in as Host or Admin - IE (both 6 and 7) lock or do not render the pages correctly.

It does not happen when logged as normal user or if not logged.

Installation was done according to instructions and compression module is disabled.

Thanks.

Ivan

Hi Ivan,
You may have more than one closing < /html tag in the output of your page. This usually happens when you have a skin installed where the developer did not remove the extra html.

The tag is needed by PageBlaster to recognize the end of the page, but if there is more than one you will get erratic results.

yes, we are checking on that

the skin for admins though is exactly the same as for registered users and we don't get the same problem?

thanks.

ASP.Net automatically buffers the page output so that it can be delivered in chunks which improves performance.
The problem occurs when the page output is larger than the buffer size.
Since the Admin and Host users get a lot more html in their pages from control panel, etc. you will see it happen more for those users, but you would also see it on a large page with regular or anonymous users.

Ok. So it was an issue on our site, not the skin but we had some embedded css in a text module on the home page. moved that to portal skin and it fixed the issue.

thanks.

John,

We are continuing to experience issues - sometime web site is slow and often it locks IE6. We will see what we find is causing the issue.

In the mean time - can I somehow disable the cashing functions of Page Blaster? I want to test it's url re-write capabilites and use it for that purpose only.

Thanks.

Ivan

You can disable all caching by setting the cache interval for memory and disk to 0 in the Snapsis.PageBlaster.config file.

If you would like me to take a look at your website let me know.

Thanks John, it's happening only when you log in as admin or host. I will let my tech guys try to solve it first.
