While working on a new skin I got to thinking about the date that is shown on the default DNN skin and many others. If you do caching with a default of 4 days for on disk caching, how do you deal with the date?  Should we make sure that we don't have dates on our skins?

Yes, the date would be cached so I'd recommend not using the date SkinObject.

If you still wanted to show the date, you could do it easily with some javascript on the client side.

I never really understood why the date at the server should be shown anyway. It may be different on the other side of the world.
