Setup the Friendly Url and solpartmenu

Hi John,

I have purchased PageBlaster with the original intent to use the virtual page names. I thought that this would be linked to the Solpartmenu as well where the URL for the pages would not be written as default.aspx?tabid=50 but as the virtual name that I have given to the page like my-new-page.aspx.

Did I have a misconception or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Aderson,

Implementing a Friendly Url using PageBlaster is a two step process.

First you set the Virtual Path, which will allow the path you chose to be used as imput to get to a page (tab) in your portal.

After that, if you want to change the output of links that might be generated in your page, including output from the Solpart menu or any other skin object, then you would create a Portal Replacment Rule.

There is a sample Url Replacement for "Home" in the Saved Rules section of the configuration.
