So, I have installed the module properly, and I can see that it is caching data to disk, which is what I prefer considering the amount of available memory I have... however; I can see no performance gains at all..  As a matter of fact, a test that I ran where I timed the page loads after the .net process was started... indicated that the Snapsis Pageblaster module was actually slower than without it.

On average... it wa actually 5 sec slower for page load.  I obviously already had issues with page load being slow... (my provider sucks), but I was hoping this module would solve all my problems.... after all... loading static pages from disk should be much faster.. .right?

Maybe I am doing something wrong.  I don't have any fancy URL rewrites going on... just using it for caching...  Can someone let me know if the default install is all I need to make this work properly?

Thank you,

Chris

There are considerable gains when using PageBlaster for unauthenticated users.
Memory is much faster than disk, and if the server disk I/O is bad then performance may get worse if you are only caching to disk.

It's better to just limit the memory used if you do not have much available.  You can staore a lot of pages in a small amount of memory (especially if they are compressed) and this also keeps the server from having to compress every request over and over.

If you are logged in (authenticated) then PageBlaster does not cache by default, and a single user logged in may not notice the improvement if you cache only to disk even if they are cached at the page level by PageBlaster.
