Hello,

Another question raised in my pre-purchase evaluation:

I have more than 50 portals on a single DNN installation. Each of them with different needs in compresion and caching.

What caching and compression rules can be set for each portal?

I saw in the reference manual that the replacements rules are portal wide but it's unclear if the caching are compresion are portal wide as well.

thanks,

lodani

Hi lodani,
Thanks for your interest.
Caching and compression can be configured all the way to the page level in the paid version.
Replacement Rules can also be configured at portal level or all the way down to the page level.

Thank you for your quick answers to all my previous questions, they were very helpful.

Now I'd like to add a suggestion to the wish list:

- to have the posibility to configure every kind of rul at portal level (not only the replacements)

By the way, I'm going now to snowcovered to purchase it. I'm totally convinced.

thanks!

That's great. Thanks for your interest and enthusiasm.
I'm not sure what you mean by "every kind of rule", but you can configure redirects, cache intervals & exclusions also all the way to the page level.

Excuse me, I mean -in example- "I don't want caching nor compression in this portal at all but I do in the other 49".

If this is possible I didn't understood.

I'm planning a PB install on a large multi-portal installation. I'd like to 'switch-off' PB for all portals and then bring them on one at a time. I like global rules to apply to the majority if not all portals but I would like a portal on/off switch.
I also have the scenario where I'd like PB off for a portal so I can diagnose CSS or JS problems.

Does this functionality exist? What would be the easiest to achieve the above?

Many thanks
