Hi John

I'm using PageBlaster Replacement rules directly in my skin. All of them are portal rules.

I noted that they mostly work fine. However when I'm in admin mode they don't work. For example in:

  • Text/HTML Edit-Mode
  • Links Edit-Mode
  • Announcement Edit-Mode
  • or when Displaying Open-SearchEngine results

I'm using DNN 4.4.1 and Snapsis PageBlaster 2.2.4. Is this a problem you know and do you know a solution to fix this?

Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
In the default Snapsis.PageBlaster.config file is an exclusion rule that may be turning off replacements while you are in edit mode.
I do this because if you are editing then you may want to edit the token which will not be there the replacements are allowed to run.
Look for this in the config file:

pattern="ctl.*?(edit|module|tab)"

You can remove that excludePath, or modify it if you like.

Hi John

Thanks a lot! It's now working fine.
I always thought that these excludePaths only effect the compression and caching of PageBlaster. But now I know it better.

With kind regards
Patrick
