I am considering using Open-ViewState v3.0. Before making any changes I would like to make sure it will work together with PageBlaster.

Any idea on this?

Thank you!

Ok I think I need to change my question.

I am not going to use Open-ViewState any more.

My new question is:

Can I have PageBlaster work together with DNN's "Page State Persistence" set to "Memory"?

The reason I am asking this is that I have a huge "ViewState" on home page.  The new dnn version (starting from dnn7) put the viewstate on top of the page instead of the bottom of the page. It has greatly afftected my site's search engine indexing.

PageBlaster has been working great for me and I am hoping the those two (PageBlaster work together with DNN's "Page State Persistence" set to "Memory") can go together.

Thank you!

I don't recommend setting DNN's Page State Persistence to memory. many people have had problems with their site after doing that.

PageBlaster can move the viewstate back to the bottom of the page.
I have attached a config file that has that rule.

1. I had problem using  DNN's Page State Persistence to memory as well! Site went down for two hours! I changed that back already.

2. I feel so good to know that PageBlaster can move the viewstate back to the bottom of the page.
I am going to try it now. Will get back ...

I just realized that I am using the free version which does not have the replacement engine.

1. With the commercial version, do I have the option to enable/disable the PageBlaster by only changing the web.config file? I like the free version since it's light and easy to control since the performance is all I wanted. Sometimes I can fix issues by simply commenting out the pageblaster for a while. When the site is down there is no way for me to access the control panel and change the settings.

2. I am running dnn4.8.1. I noticed that you have a new version coming out for the latest dnn. Should I wait or I can just use the current 2.2.4 (on dnn4.8.1)?

3. I am a bit concerned about adding any new stuff to my site. I tested PageBlaster free version for quite some time before I was sure I could use it. Now it's been running well so I would very much like to keep the way it is. But I do need to change the position of that viewstate from the top to the bottom... Do you have any sample site that I can confirm the change?

I just purchased the module already... still need to confirm above things...

Thank you very much!

With the commercial version you can disable down to the page level, but in case of emergency you can still disable it like the free one.

I can send you the latest version if you want, but you may want to wait a while so that it is tested. I have it running on this site and things are running very well.

To see a sample of the view state moved to the bottom you can look at this site.
